Matador

A streetwise, closeted Brooklyn kid—the gay son of a Russian Jewish cop—flees to Mexico City and, on a dare, trains under a legendary matador to become the first American bullfighter, taking Spain by storm in 1929 alongside Ernest Hemingway, until a brutal goring threatens to end his meteoric rise and his life.
